Blue Cedar Networks, a corporate app security and connectivity company, just launched.

The company’s mission is to secure and connect app end points to backend data and application services for users across the extended enterprise.

Blue Cedar spun out from Mocana and brings with it the Atlas platform, an app security and connectivity platform, as its flagship product.

“Today’s large organizations face the challenge of managing and securing the thousands of physical device endpoints, like laptops, desktops, smart phones, wearables, and single-purpose devices, deployed and used throughout the extended enterprise,” said John Aisien, chief executive of Blue Cedar Networks. “In reality, the corporate app — along with the data it manifests to support business decisions and execute business processes — is the new endpoint. With Blue Cedar, corporate IT security risk professionals can more easily and transparently adapt their security and mobility strategies to safeguard sensitive corporate apps and data across the extended enterprise.”

Blue Cedar launches with more than 150 global customers, including those in manufacturing, financial services, insurance, consumer packaged goods, government and health care.

The Atlas platform is an end-to-end app security and connectivity solution that enables organizations to provide secure and easy access to corporate apps and data, regardless of the app’s development platform or end-user device’s operating system, and delivers them with superior, military-grade security, rich app usage analytics and an exceptional end user experience.
