Blaze Out at OH Gasoline Plant

An early morning fire at the Toledo Refining Company in Oregon, OH, is still under investigation.

Firefighters battled an early morning fire Sunday at the Toledo Refining Company in Oregon, OH.

Fire crews got the call to the 1800 block of Woodville Road shortly after 6 a.m. The fire was out by 7:45 a.m., said company spokesperson, Olivia Summons.

There were no injuries in the fire, which Summons said ended up contained to a gasoline processing unit.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Air quality technicians were out in the neighborhoods during the blaze to make sure the air was safe for residents. They were able to determine there was no threat to the air.

The refinery produces gasoline, ultra-low sulfur diesel, and petrochemicals including nonene, xylene, tetramer and toluene. The company ended up incorporated in 2010 and its base is in Oregon. Toledo Refining Company LLC operates as a subsidiary of PBF Energy Company LLC.

The Oregon Fire Department assisted in the effort to put out the fire.
