As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors stipulated Dague must pay restitution for all the 16 counts he originally ended up charged with in the theft of wire, copper, brass and other oil field, methane and industrial materials and equipment.

Investigators believe Dague stole more than $100,000 worth of equipment from oil field sites and a coal mine over several years.

Dague estimated he made about $40,000 selling the stolen items.
