The fire occurred at Strattec Security Corporation in Glendale, WI, which manufactures automotive locks and keys.

Due to the nature of the machine fire, North Shore/Fire could not use water to extinguish it and ended up using alternative methods from the Milwaukee Fire Department HazMat team.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire and after giving the all clear sign, employees returned to work.

There were no injuries in the blaze, but there is an estimated $80,000 in damage to the machinery.
