AutomationDirect’s new ProSense line of digital panel meters offers a solution to display analog process, temperature, load cell, and potentiometer inputs.

With all models, configuration parameters can end up totally or selectively locked out to prevent unauthorized or accidental changes to the meter’s operation.

Two-point direct or reverse acting linear scaling values can end up entered manually or by introducing actual sensed process values in Teach mode. Models feature IP65-rated meter faces and are available with 1/32 and 1/8 DIN housings to take up minimal panel space.

ProSense DPM1 series panel meters can display analog process signals, including, +/-10V and +/-20mA. The 4-digit red LED display easily scales into any engineering units from -1999 to 9999 with a selectable decimal point location. Non-linear processes can scale by entering up to 16 scaling points. Other features include two SPST relay outputs that can set to activate on an increasing or decreasing input signal with hysteresis or time delay operation, retention and reset of minimum and maximum display values, a tare function, filtering to minimize display bounce, and display brightness adjustment. Starting at $65, models are also available with a 0-20mA or 4-20mA analog output.

The DPM2 series displays analog process signals, temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius from RTD or thermocouple temperature sensors, or potentiometer inputs. Starting at $100, models feature a 4-digit red LED display which is easily scaled into any engineering units from -9999 to 9999 with a selectable decimal point location. Temperature inputs pre-configured for fixed temperature ranges based on the type of temperature sensor and can end up displayed with 1 or 0.1 degree of resolution. One model includes two SPDT relay outputs that can activate on an increasing or decreasing input signal with hysteresis or time delay operation. Additionally, the DPM2 meters allow retention and reset of minimum and maximum display values.

ProSense DPM3 series panels display analog process signals, temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius from RTD or thermocouple temperature sensors, load cell, or potentiometer inputs. The 5-digit tri-color red/green/amber LED display scales into any engineering units from -19999 to 39999 with a selectable decimal point location. Non-linear processes can scale by entering up to 11 scaling points. Additionally, the display color can be set to change on relay operation. Starting at $125, models are available with a 4-20mA analog output or two SPDT or four SPST relay outputs that can activate on an increasing or decreasing input signal with hysteresis or time delay operation. Other features include retention and reset of minimum and maximum display values, three tare functions, display hold function, filtering to minimize display bounce, and display brightness adjustment.
