OK Energy Firm Hit by Chemical Fire

There was a chemical fire at Tucker Energy Services in Alderson, OK, Thursday.

Alderson Fire Department first got the call of the fire at 3:43 a.m. Thursday, said Pittsburg County Emergency Management Deputy Director Lois Lupardus.

Lupardus said she was not aware of any injuries resulting from the fire.

Fire crews from Alderson, High Hill, Krebs, Bug Tussle, Haywood and Arpelar responded, Lupardus said. McAlester Fire Department’s HazMat crew as well as the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and the Pittsburg County Office of Emergency management also responded.

A cause was still unknown as of Monday morning, according to Lupardus.

Tucker Energy Services is a privately owned multinational oil and gas services corporation.
