Decades of experience have greatly reduced safety risks, however with the breakneck speed of cyber security attacks and the evolving nature of the bad guys out there, users just don’t have the luxury of time to develop a new path to secure solutions. Instead of inventing new approaches, why not use what works.
There are true similarities between a developed safety solution and what you would need to do to create a security program.
Schneider Electric held a webcast Sept 15 that asked the questions: “Does Aligning Cyber Security and Process Safety Reduce Risk? And How can we align them to protect Operational Integrity?”
At the end of the webcast, Schneider conducted a survey assessing the needs of users and now the results are in and there will be a webcast Tuesday, October 27 at 9 a.m. eastern time to reveal the outcome of the study.
When it comes to safety or security, it has to be a total team effort between the asset owner or user, the system integrator, who often designs the network, and the supplier that provides hardware and software to the integrator and the asset owner.
Find out what your industry peers thought during this informative webcast featuring one of Schneider’s safety experts, Steve Elliott and ISSSource’s Gregory Hale.
