The man was identified as Tustin resident Enrique Garcia-Vazques, according to an Orange County Coroner’s investigator.

He was working when he got caught in a piece of machinery.

About two minutes after the incident, a fellow employee found the victim and tried to get him out, but it was not possible.

“(He) was working in or near the equipment and got trapped and was discovered deceased,” said fire Capt. Tony Bommarito. “An employee called (for help) shortly after it happened.”

Responding firefighters declared the victim dead at the scene.

Rescuers then worked on dismantling the equipment to try and get the victim out.
The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
