3 Hurt in Oil-Gas Site Blast

There was an industrial explosion at a TAQA oil and gas site Friday afternoon in Musreau Lake, Alberta, Canada, said Grande Prairie Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Emergency personnel and RCMP responded to the incident at a compressor building at the industrial site west of Musreau Lake, Alta., around 2:30 p.m.

Three people working near the building were injured by the explosion.

All three of workers were taken to a local hospital – their injuries are non-life threatening. At least one worker was being treated for burns.

The investigation is ongoing. The RCMP stated there are no concerns for public safety and no expected travel delays due to the remote location of the incident.
