Adobe released an updated version of Flash Player in its first patch round of the new year.

Flash Player fixed one item which ended up rated “important.”

These update fixed an out-of-bounds read vulnerability (CVE-2018-4871) that could lead to information exposure if exploited.

The patch covers Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Chrome OS, Adobe said in its patch release.

The company said it is not aware of the issue undergoing exploitation.

This is the second month in a row where the company only issued one patch for the software.

Flash Player will be retired by the end of 2020 and Adobe said it is working with its partners to make the transition to newer solutions as smoothly as possible.
