An air conditioning unit malfunction has shut down the Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Burlington, KS, late last week.
One of the plant’s air conditioning units automatically turned off while operating, said spokeswoman Cassandra Bailey.

Plant operators found the issue ended up related to a faulty pressure sensor that monitors the oil pressure for the air conditioning unit.
Officials replaced the sensor and crews are now performing additional maintenance activities which may take several days to complete.
Bailey said they expect the plant to be back up and running this weekend.
