There was a fatal explosion at a maker of wooden closet liners, planks and panels in Huntsville, AL, Tuesday, officials said.

Authorities got the call to the Giles & Kendall CedarSafe plant after an explosion Tuesday morning that killed a male employee, Madison County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Jeremy Hughes said. No one else suffered any injuries.

The Madison County Coroner confirmed John Osmer, 61, of Gurley, AL, died following the explosion.

Hughes said a hazardous materials team also ended up called to the scene and the cause of the explosion is under investigation.

The plant extracts oil from cedar chips for other uses.

The explosion came just a few days after firefighters ended up called to the plant when cedar chips ignited Saturday.
