Brine Spill Recovered at ND Well Site

There was a brine release March 10 at the Fort Berthold oil and gas well, about 15 miles north of Dunn Center, ND, officials said.

Bruin E&P Operating LLC reported March 11 that 13,020 gallons of brine were released due to a valve/piping connection leak, said officials at the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division.

At the time of reporting, all 13,020 gallons of brine were recovered. Product was contained on-site.

A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup needed.

Dunn Center is about 40 miles north of Dickinson.
