Fire Breaks Out at Rainbow Manufacturing

A fire broke out near the paint booth area of the Rainbow Manufacturing plant in Fitzgerald, GA, Monday.

It appears the paint room and a storage room are destroyed, said Fire Chief Jeffrey Dobbins.

An investigator is coming to look into the incident, but said some insulation near the paint room caught fire.

The fire occurred at 10:51 a.m. and it took about 40 minutes to put out, fire officials said.

There was substantial smoke damage to the structure, but no injuries.

Rainbow Manufacturing makes dewatering equipment and irrigation equipment including pumping systems.
