The victim is Robert Stauffer, 47, of Landisville, PA. Stauffer died of traumatic asphyxiation, said Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni. His death was ruled accidental.

The man was trapped under a piece of lift equipment just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday, said Lancaster County 911 dispatchers.

The lift device was part of a processing line, said Mount Joy Fire Chief Philip Colvin. He said workers moved the device off the fallen worker before emergency crews arrived.

PEMA officials referred calls to the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the company, which didn’t immediately comment.

The coroner said the victim was a man in his 40s.
