The fire started just before 3 a.m. Tuesday. At least one of the buildings at the facility sustained heavy damage. Firefighters and DTE Energy workers are trying to put out at least one remaining gas line fire.

“[The fire] looks like it started like in the middle area of the building and then spread towards the yard and towards the back half of the building. One half of the building is still good, it looks like, but the other half, pretty much, they said it fell already,” said one worker, Mike DeCarlo. He’s worked there for five years.

Around 160 people work at the facility.

There were no injuries have been reported.
