Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities, discovere by researcher Jithin Nambiar, could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized administrative access, disclose sensitive information, modify device configuration, hijack authenticated sessions, and disrupt device operation.
Ebyte NE2-D11 is an industrial single serial port server that converts data between an RS485 serial interface and an Ethernet network.

Vulnerabilities
In one issue, Ebyte device web management interface does not consistently enforce authentication before granting access to administrative functionality. An unauthenticated remote attacker could access sensitive configuration information, modify device settings, or disrupt availability.
CVE-2026-73125 is the case number for the vulnerability, which has a CVSS V3 base score of 9.8. There is also a V4 base score of 9.3.
Additionally, a cleartext transmission of sensitive information vulnerability exists in certain Ebyte gateway products. The web management interface does not adequately protect sensitive communications using transport-layer encryption. An attacker with access to network traffic could intercept authentication or session-related information transmitted between a user and the affected device. Successful exploitation could result in disclosure of sensitive information and unauthorized access to device management functionality.
CVE-2026-73809 is the case number for the vulnerability, which has a CVSS V3 base score of 7.5. There is also a V4 base score of 8.7.
Also, administrative credentials may end up exposed in plaintext within the Ebyte device’s management interface, increasing the risk of credential compromise through visual or remote observation. This undermines the confidentiality of device access.
CVE-2026-73839 is the case number for the vulnerability, which has a CVSS V3 base score of 4.6. There is also a V4 base score of 5.1.
Meanwhile, Ebyte device relies on client side authentication logic that can end up reproduced by unauthenticated users. An attacker may generate valid authentication requests and bypass authentication to obtain administrative access to the device.

Improper Protection
Moreover, an improper protection of authentication tokens vulnerability exists in certain Ebyte gateway products. Authentication tokens used by the web management interface have insufficient protection during client-side session handling, which may allow an attacker with access to exposed session information to obtain and reuse a valid token. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to impersonate an authenticated user and gain unauthorized access to device management functionality.

Furthermore, Ebyte device does not adequately verify the origin or authenticity of requests submitted to the web management interface. An unauthenticated remote attacker could persuade an authenticated administrator to visit a crafted page, causing unauthorized configuration changes or a disruption of device availability.
CVE-2026-75814 is the case number for the vulnerability, which has a CVSS V3 base score of 8.8. There is also a V4 base score of 8.6.
Indeed, the affected Ebyte device does not restrict repeated authentication attempts through rate limiting or account lockout mechanisms. This could allow an attacker to perform automated authentication attacks against deployments that rely on password based authentication.

Configuration Endpoints
Additionally, certain configuration endpoints may lack proper server-side authorization checks, allowing unauthorized users to access or modify sensitive device settings. This could result in full compromise of device functionality.

Meanwhile, MQTT credentials and control traffic are transmitted in cleartext, exposing sensitive information to network-level attackers. This may enable unauthorized device impersonation and disruption of messaging functions.

No exploit currently targets these vulnerabilities.
Mitigations
In terms of mitigations, Ebyte acknowledged receipt of the reported vulnerabilities and indicated a patch was under development. However, the vendor has not responded to subsequent requests for coordination, and CISA is not aware of the status or availability of the patch.
