Safety Violations for Oil Drilling Firm

Dallas, TX-based Ensign United States Drilling (S.W.) Inc. is facing $65,000 in fines for two repeat safety violations for exposing workers to possible hazards during oil well explosions, said officials at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

The inspection was part of OSHA’s Regional Emphasis Program for the Upstream Oil and Gas Well Industry. The repeat violations were for failing to correct deficiencies found during a 2011 investigation.
