Three of the eight cars on the Norfolk Southern train derailed.

There were no injuries, said Giles County 911 Director John Davis.

The train was transporting soybean oil and it’s believed that no more than 100 gallons spilled in the derailment.

Clean-up was expected to wrap up by Tuesday.

Right after the incident, four homes evacuated, but all four have been cleared to return home. There were some nearby structures, but since the area is fairly rural, no one else was affected.

Norfolk Southern has not issued any statement about the derailment yet.
