CENTUM VP and ProSafe-RS are part of the OpreX Control and Safety System lineup.
Furthermore, Yokogawa’s IT Security Tools software for enhancing the security of system products received CIS Benchmarks certification from the Center for Internet Security. Exaopc OPC interface package gained certification for compliance with the OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA). That is an international standard for the exchange of data between information and control systems established by the OPC Foundation.
The following are breakdowns of the certifications:
ISASecure SSA Level 1 certification for integrated control and safety system consisting of CENTUM VP and ProSafe-
ISASecure SSA Level 1 certification focuses on IEC 62443-3-3, an international standard for control system security. Level 1 certification by the ISCI, a third-party organization, confirms the CENTUM VP and ProSafe-RS components of Yokogawa’s integrated control and safety system meet the security requirements defined in IEC 62443-3-3.
CIS Benchmarks Certification for IT Security Tools:
IT Security Tools is a collection of security settings designed to harden Windows computers that run CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, and other Yokogawa products. CIS Benchmarks Certification is a best practice for securely configuring systems. Certification for conformance with the CIS Benchmarks confirms IT Security Tools can reduce security risks. This can happen by configuring the security settings for system products centering on the CENTUM VP and ProSafe-RS components.
Certification of Exaopc Compliance with OPC UA Standard:
OPC UA is an open international standard designed to ensure safe and reliable data exchange in the industrial automation industry. The Exaopc OPC interface package gained certification for compliance with the OPC UA standard, facilitating secure communications between systems and mitigating cybersecurity risks.
“In 2025, CENTUM and ProSafe-RS celebrated their 50th and 20th anniversaries, respectively, and our company evolved both products by adapting the latest technologies to meet customer needs,” said Mitsuhiro Yamamoto, a corporate officer and head of the Systems Business Division at Yokogawa Electric. “We will continue to contribute to the realization of safe and secure plant operations by providing secure products and systems.”
